Get in the Spirit, Stay in the Spirit
It’s practically impossible to not be in the Christmas spirit during a December trip to Amicalola Falls Lodge. With our Christmas Open House just two weeks before Christmas and the New Year’s Eve celebration as the calendar turns to 2020, the most wonderful time of the year is bracketed by two great events.
Each year, the Lodge at Amicalola Falls opens its doors for its annual Christmas Open House. As classic Christmas tunes fill the air and seasonal snacks like gingerbread cookies fill bellies, guests can expect festive crafts for children and a visit from Santa Claus. And don’t forget the legendary annual display of over 400 Nutcracker figures throughout the lodge, which will stay up throughout the holidays. This family-centric event, set for December 15 from 2 to 6 p.m., will get even the biggest “Grinch” in the Christmas spirit. An additional Christmas Open House Dinner will be offered after the open house, so be sure to leave some room for a great meal.
As 2019 comes to a close, there’s no better place to ring in 2020 than our annual New Year’s Eve Gala. This year’s Roaring 20s theme is sure to light up the night and elicit some Gatsby-inspired attire from our guests. The gala, which includes dinner, music and entertainment by DJ Steel, dancing and a New Year’s Eve toast, is $175 per couple and attendees receive 30% off lodge or cabin accommodations – talk about a great deal! Our New Year’s Day brunch on January 1 is always well received by guests, who line up for the Bloody Mary bar. Start 2020 off right at Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge.
With the majestic North Georgia mountains as a backdrop, it’s easy to see why Amicalola Falls is a hotspot for the holiday season. One of only five Georgia State Parks with lodging and a restaurant, guests can stay in the comfort of our mountaintop lodge, revel with friends in a cabin rental or load up the RV to stay at one of the finest RV campgrounds in GA. Book your stay today and make the 2019 Holiday Season the best one yet.
